Senior Survey Technician

Hagen Surveys is a land survey company specializing in municipal and cadastral surveys throughout Alberta for over 50 years. Our office is located on the east end of Edmonton. We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Survey Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform survey calculations for construction layouts for field personnel
  • Prepare legal survey calculations and drafting plans to be registered at Land Titles
  • Quality Control for legal survey plans and construction layouts
  • Preparing Site and Topographic Surveys and Volume Calculations
  • Liaising with clients, field and office staff
  • Analyzing field notes, conventional and GNSS raw data and construction drawings.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a recognized post-secondary program related to land surveying or equivalent experience and worked in the land surveying industry over 5 years
  • Minimum 2 years field experience and 3 years office experience
  • Proficient with Microsurvey CAD, Autocad/Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
  • Must have the ability to work as part of a team with Field personnel and Plan checkers
  • Must be able to meet deadlines, identify and set priorities
  • Must be committed to Professional Development by attending seminars and in-house training

Senior Party Chief

Hagen Surveys (1982) Ltd. is a survey company specializing in municipal and cadastral surveys throughout Alberta for over 50 years. Our office is located on the east end of Edmonton. We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Party Chief to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a survey field crew on Legal surveys, topographic surveys, and construction surveys
  • Liaise with Landowners, clients, and construction site supervisors
  • Document all field work performed through field notes, checklists and data gathered from survey equipment
  • Work safely and in accordance with our Safety policies
Qualifications
  • Have Post Secondary training in a Geomatics related field and at least 5 years experience with surveys in the legal and construction field
  • Have a valid Drivers license
  • Candidates with valid Safety tickets (First Aid and CSTS) are preferred
  • Have experience with the latest in Survey equipment and software
  • Have experience with the use of ATV’s and the safe operation of them
